Composition Colombia and Ethiopia

We created this coffee specifically for brewing the worldwide summer hit – cold brew.

Don’t worry – it’s absolutely delicious as a classic filter coffee too.

Thanks to the combination of traditional Ethiopian varieties and Colombian Caturra, the coffee behaves very consistently. When served cold, it reveals explosive sweetness and juicy citrus notes. With a roast profile tailored for cold service, this coffee can even remind you of a proper caipirinha.

Our recommended approach to cold brew

We suggest preparing cold brew a little differently than usual.

The longest shelf life and highest sensory quality comes from so-called chilled brew. That means brewing the coffee hot (which effectively pasteurizes the beverage) and then cooling it down without adding ice.

The simplest way? Brew a fresh hot filter coffee, pour it into a pre-chilled container, and wait until the temperature drops below 50°C. Then pop it straight into the fridge.

Thanks to this heat “pasteurization,” your cold brew can last up to 7 days in the refrigerator. In contrast, standard cold maceration cold brew is usually past its prime after just 2 days.

Tasting notes:

Citrus, cane sugar, and caipirinha.

Processing:

This is a blend of two coffees:

  • 50% washed Ethiopia from the Yirgacheffe region

  • 50% Caturra from Edinson Argote, fermented with enzymes mixed with lulo and kiwi extract

Best for:

Perfect for Hoop, Pulsar, V60, batch brew, Aeropress, or any other coffee brewing methods.
It truly shines as cold brew.

Barista recommendation:

For best flavor, brew with water at 100°C. The idea that higher temperature “burns” the coffee is a myth. We roast it at 600°C, so you definitely won’t burn it with brewing water.

Always use filtered or bottled water with alkalinity between 60–80 ppm.

Good to know:

For filter coffee, use the beans at least 14 days after roast date.

After first opening the bag, let it rest for at least 24 hours before brewing. This helps prevent unwanted bitter notes in the cup.

Package contents:

The package contains roasted whole-bean Arabica coffee in your selected size.
