How it tastes:
Raisins, nuts and citrus.
Composition:
At the moment, for Freya we are roasting the Catuai variety from the Costa Rican farm Hacienda San Isidro.
Best for:
A great choice for the Hoop, Pulsar, V60, batch brew, Aeropress or other coffee brewing methods. It also works very well as an espresso.
Barista’s recommendation:
You’ll get the best flavours when you brew Freya with water at 100 °C. The idea that high-temperature water can´t burn’ the beans is a myth. We roast them at 600 °C, so there’s no way you can ‘burn’ them.
For espresso, we recommend setting the temperature to 93 °C and using an extraction ratio of 18 g of ground coffee IN and 40–48 g of finished espresso OUT.
Good to know:
For both filter coffee and espresso, always use the beans at least 14 days after the roasting date. After first opening the bag, let it vent for at least 24 hours before brewing. This helps prevent unwanted bitter notes in the cup.
Package contents:
The package contains roasted whole-bean arabica coffee in the selected amount.
Fiftybeans Christmas gift tip:
Looking for a gift for a coffee lover? This coffee belongs to the more classic flavour profiles. We recommend it as a gift for fans of traditional tastes who don’t want to experiment too much.
